No execution for Middleton this month
The Missouri Supreme Court declined to vacate the stay of execution it issued in John Middleton’s case. There will be no execution this month but unfortunately one has been set for September 17, 2008 (unless there are other developments in the legal case). The Court also denied money for an independent mental-health examination to determine if Mr. Middleton is competent to be executed.
